About Accelerando Music
Accelerando Music was founded in June of 2009 by Katie Kraft. After five years of teaching general music and chorus at a K-6 school in New Jersey, Katie was excited to make the move to Northern Virginia to pursue her true passion: early childhood music. Accelerando began with just a couple of in-home piano and guitar lessons and music classes with playgroups, and has since grown into a nationally recognized music education company.
Accelerando is a musical term meaning "to gradually increase in speed." Our teaching approach is rooted in the philosophy that music is a powerful catalyst that can jump start your child's neural and physical development as early as infancy, and continue to foster a sense of confidence and personal fulfillment as he/she grows.
Accelerando Music is the proud home of Tots with Tempo, an award winning "mommy and me" style music class for children ages 0-5. We also offer private instrumental lessons in the following instruments: piano, guitar, voice, flute, and oboe.
